Mission Statement: The Florida Lottery was created to allow the people of the state to benefit from significant additional moneys for education while playing the best lottery games available. The mission of the Florida Lottery is to maximize revenues in a manner consistent with the dignity of the state and the welfare of its citizens.

| Dec 24 | A $50 million FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot is won, marking the 1,000th jackpot-winning ticket in the game's history. The ticket was claimed by Richard McMullen, of Tallahassee. The retailer who sold the winning ticket received a $150,000 bonus commission. | ||
| Nov 30 | Florida Lottery net Scratch-Off ticket sales break all-time record for the months of September, October and November. | ||
| Nov 4 | The Florida Lottery announces life-to-date sales have generated more than $23 billion in contributions to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. | ||
| Jul 1 | Ticket sales for fiscal year 2010-11 exceed $4 billion, making it the best sales year since fiscal year 2007-08. | ||
| Mar 21 | FANTASY 5® numbers 14-15-16-17-18 produce 47 winners, setting a new record for the most winners in a single draw since the game matrix changed to 5 of 36 in July 2001. | ||
| Mar 21 | The Florida Lottery launches a new $10 limited-time game, LUCKY 7 RAFFLE™, which offers the best odds ever to win $700,000 and awards more than 777 cash prizes on May 5, 2011. In addition, the first 100,000 LUCKY 7 RAFFLE tickets sold come with a free FLORIDA LOTTO™ Quick Pick ticket good for the next available FLORIDA LOTTO drawing. |
